This Shipping Policy outlines the terms and conditions relating to the shipment and delivery of products purchased through our online store.

At present, The Italian Chocolate 1971 ships within the European Union only.

This Shipping Policy applies only to physical products purchased through our online store and does not apply to Atelier bookings, experiences, or reservations.

 

1. Processing & Handling Times

All orders are processed within 1–3 business days. Orders are not processed, shipped, or delivered on weekends or public holidays.

During periods of high order volume, seasonal demand, product launches, or public holidays, processing and shipping times may be extended. Should there be a significant delay in dispatching your order, we will notify you via email.

Delivery times are estimates only and are not guaranteed.

Delivery delays may occasionally occur due to customs procedures, severe weather conditions, transportation disruptions, carrier backlogs, strikes, or other circumstances beyond our reasonable control.

The Italian Chocolate 1971 shall not be liable for delays caused by circumstances beyond its reasonable control, including but not limited to severe weather, transportation disruptions, customs delays, strikes, or carrier service interruptions.

Chocolate & Temperature-Sensitive Products

Our products are crafted using premium chocolate and may be sensitive to temperature fluctuations.

During periods of extreme heat, delivery schedules may be adjusted to help protect product quality. While we take reasonable care in packaging and shipping our products, The Italian Chocolate 1971 cannot be held responsible for product deterioration resulting from prolonged exposure to high temperatures, improper storage, or failure to retrieve deliveries promptly after delivery has been completed.

We reserve the right to temporarily suspend shipments during periods of extreme weather where product quality may be compromised.

 

3. Shipment Confirmation & Order Tracking

Once your order has been dispatched, shipment and tracking information may be provided where available.

Tracking information may take up to 24 hours to become active following dispatch.

 

4. Customs, Duties & Taxes

As The Italian Chocolate 1971 currently ships within the European Union only, orders are not typically subject to additional customs duties.

Should any taxes, duties, fees, or charges be imposed by local authorities, these shall be the responsibility of the customer.

 

5. Damaged, Missing, or Lost Shipments

If your order arrives damaged or appears to have been lost in transit, please contact us within seven (7) days of delivery or the expected delivery date at admin@theitalianchocolate.com.

Please retain all packaging materials and damaged items, as photographic evidence may be required to support a claim with the shipping carrier.

Once an order has been marked as delivered by the carrier to the delivery address provided at checkout, responsibility for the shipment transfers to the customer.

Claims relating to damaged, missing, or lost shipments will be reviewed on a case-by-case basis.

 

6. Incorrect or Incomplete Shipping Information

Customers are responsible for ensuring that all shipping information provided at checkout is accurate and complete.

If a package is returned to us due to an incorrect or incomplete address provided by the customer, the customer will be responsible for any return shipping fees and any applicable redelivery costs.

Orders cannot be modified once they have entered the fulfilment process.

The Italian Chocolate 1971 is not responsible for delivery failures resulting from inaccurate or incomplete information provided by the customer.
